About Me

Hola! I’m Raúl, a curious individual born in the heart of Madrid, Spain, during the vibrant era of the 80s. Currently, I call the eclectic streets of London, UK, my home.

My academic journey took me to the esteemed halls of the Technical University of Madrid (Politécnica de Madrid), where I graduated with honors in Computing Engineering. While many of my university colleagues delved into the world of pure software engineering, coding apps in various languages and technologies, I took a distinctive route.

For a significant period, I wore the hats of a Business Analyst and Solutions Architect, deeply intertwined with software development but from the perspectives of requirements, design, and strategy. My expertise lies prominently in the Finance Services sector, particularly in Fund Investment, Asset Management, and Investment Banking. However, my appetite for knowledge extends beyond boundaries, making me open to exploring diverse industries and roles.

Over the years, my professional journey seamlessly transitioned into project and delivery management. It was here that I discovered the profound impact I could make on organizations. My hands-on experience and comprehensive understanding of software delivery, from conception to execution, make me a versatile professional.

Beyond the realm of work, I am an eternal learner. Whether it’s mastering new project management techniques, staying abreast of the latest technologies, or exploring hobbies like playing the ukulele, surfing, or learning languages, I find joy in continuous growth.

In the realm of personal projects, you’ll find my penned thoughts in the Publications section, this very webpage you’re exploring, and occasional appearances at conferences—both as an eager attendee and sometimes, as a guest speaker (check out the Public Appereances section).

If any of these topics pique your interest or if you just fancy a chat, head over to the Contact section. I’m always open to connecting and exploring new possibilities.

Gracias for being part of my journey!
